What’s different about the personal training we offer from our general classes? Well, classes are group personal training. You’ll still get help with your form, encouragement and some personal attention, but with one on one personal training sessions, you can work on your specific goals and we’ll create a session that’s bespoke and personal to you and what you want to achieve. Want to run a marathon, sign up for Iron Man, compete for your county or simply lose a few pounds before your holiday? Personal training is a great way to ensure you smash those goals.
We’ve got dedicated trainers who specialise in a variety of workouts, and no matter what your aims for your training sessions, we can get you there. Our trainers have worked with MMA fighters, BMX bikers and cross-country mountain bikers, and even to Olympic standards, so wherever you want to go, we can make it happen together.
With highly-qualified coaches and more quality equipment than you can shake a kettlebell at, all in a huge 7000 square feet of space to have fun in, why wouldn’t you want to give this everything you’ve got?

HAVE A QUESTION?

It’s £40 an hour for one off sessions, so if you simply want to try it out, or you want an hour with one of us to help you with your form or help you set some realistic goals, you can do that. Or you can go for it and block book your sessions - and the more you book, the cheaper it gets.

Not at all. You can just try a one-hour session with no commitment to book further sessions unless you want to.

We start at your level, right where you are and work with you to help you reach your goals. All of our personal training is tailored to you, your fitness level and what you need. We will push you, but never to the point where it’s more than you can handle.

PAUL MELLORS

Owner and Head Coach
I started CrossFit in 2013 after boxing for years as an amateur! I currently compete at a high level and would love to get to even bigger competitions. My goal is to inspire every one of you to push yourself and achieve what you are capable of, by leading by example. My specialist area’s are strength and conditioning, sports performance, biomechanics and exercise physiology (Yeah, that’s right.. I’m a strength nerd). If I’m not coaching, I’ll be working out myself or researching.. I’m pretty boring! Although, we do love a night out..

GREG NEWBURY

Coach
29 Years old and expecting my first child in Feb 2019 :O. I’ve played football since I was 8 years old and succeeded and failed at various different levels. After dabbling in boxing/MMA and juijitsu I joined Crossfit Hexis in June 2015 and completed my CF.Level 1 in July 2017. Since then I have been a part time Coach along side my full time job. I love seeing people conquer their fears and achieve things they didn’t think they could and Crossfit does this like no other. I am a science/comic book nerd and would love to specialize in physiology and mobility going forward.

I’ve been part of the Hexis team since 2016, starting off there on work placement for college, since then I’ve become increasingly involved with the coaching, I strive to make people a better version of themselves. I also enjoy bettering myself, competing and recreationally challenging myself in CrossFit. I am studying Strength and Conditioning in Sport at the University of Lincoln, where I also play for the basketball team.

Ever since leaving school I have been in the fitness industry! I started of with a two year apprenticeship and gained my level 3 in personal training. During that time I also did a lot of group exercises courses such as indoor cycling, circuits and metafit. Upon completion of my apprenticeship I have worked In several gyms allowing me to gain experience in helping people achieve their goals, whatever they may be, through creating bespoke programs and 1-2-1 sessions. Recently I have completed my level 1 strength and conditioning course and wish to continue studying this as well as doing my level 1 crossfit qualification.

FRANCES BAKER

Youth S & C Coach and Sports Massage Therapist
My background in fitness is exactly the same as most people, I just wanted to look better and feel better about myself so I decided to join gym. As I progressed, I realised how passionate I was about health and fitness! I can relate to those of you who struggle, as I have battled (and continue to battle) my way through anxiety and an auto-immune disease, but I stay positive as I have the support of everyone here, and there is no place quite like Hexis to make you feel supported and welcome. I am a primary school teacher by day, sports massage therapist by night as well as a youth strength and conditioning coach - I run the Hexis Kids classes. I sometimes join in with WODs but often do my own training, as my goal is to compete in fitness modelling!

INDUCTION

We offer a long induction that’s more like a course over three evenings to ensure you get to know everyone, and you know how to do all the fundamentals of CrossFit.

GET STARTED

Once you’ve had your induction, you have unlimited access with our membership and can come to classes and open gym sessions as often as you like.
